Minecraft Launcher says password is wrong no matter what is entered

I created an entirely new Microsoft account, ordered Minecraft Java with it for my computer, but whenever I click the launcher open it tells me my password or username (I've tried enough time to KNOW I'm not misspelling anything) are incorrect. I'm already registered and sign in works on Microsoft and the Minecraft website and the Xbox App on my computer, I just cant access the game.

I never had a Mojang account connected to this, and the small link under the email box that says Which should I use? Is entirely unhelpful, I've been going in fun little circles.

I have also tried reinstalling the launcher to no avail, would love some help. just wanna play block game with my friends.
