Closing the Microsoft login window keeps reopening it

When I go to "Choose Account" and click on a Microsoft account that is currently logged out, a login window pops up as expected. However when I close this window or close the whole launcher it repeatedly pops up. I am not able to cancel switching accounts until I successfully enter my password, and can't switch back to any other accounts until then.
