Version of Launcher

i have downloaded and paid for minecraft using two accounts

my laptop will only download 1.6.93, when i want 1.16.5.

The forgot password link takes me to the online minecraft website with no help what so ever.

i have trued everything the launcher will not login. i have now paid for this twice
