Can't open launcher no matter what I do

This is basically my first time doing this, and I don't really know what I am doing. For a while, the launcher would work perfectly fine, but yesterday I suddenly got the issue of it not wanting to work. I have been looking up and searching all different things that could possibly make it work, but so far, none have even worked. Anyways, I'm not sure what I should do about this. To be honest, I don't know if it is just something on my end or what else. Anyways, whenever I open up the launcher, it won't let me close it, and it gives me a gray screen, and if I want to close it, I have to force open task manager and close it that way.
