program not responding wait or close

So whenever I try to open the launcher it crashes and now I have to use the FTB(feed the beast) mod pack to force open the launcher and play Minecraft and I tried windows vista and that doesn't work and I removed and install a new launcher and still it will not respond and I waited and I still can't open it the only way I have to use is using a modpack to force open mincraft.
