left for a bit and i was logged out and all installations removed

i built this PC yesterday and installed Minecraft on it today i left for a bit and when i came back i was logged out and all installations were gone, luckily none of my files were removed and it seems they were icons for them as apon looking i could still assess forge, fabric, and optifine.

the cause may be related to a windows update because it updated right as i was leaving but my mind could be deceiving me, but i do know an update did happen i also recently installed java 8 update 271
