I bought Minecraft and it only lets me play the demo

I had to buy a digital code on amazon in order to buy java edition because it wasn't letting me buy it normally. I bought the code, signed in, bought Minecraft java through redeeming the code, downloaded the Minecraft launcher, and still can't play the game. It only lets me play the demo. I searched everything up but it seems no one has run into my problem, i have also linked my account to the launcher so that isn't the problem.
