Installations are brought to the top of the latest played list, even if their launch is cancelled

The bug

Recently, warnings about player safety features and games already running were introduced into the launcher. When opening an installation and one of these warnings is presented to the user, they have the option to cancel the launch.

When launching an installation from the Installations tab and cancelling the launch somehow, the installation is still brought to the top of the list if the Installations tab is being sorted by Latest played.

How to reproduce

I will be giving one of the three cases I know of where this can occur. This is probably the simplest way to reproduce.

1. Open the Minecraft Launcher, and navigate to the Installations tab
2. Create a new installation using version 1.15.2
3. Make sure your installations are being sorted by Latest played
4. Attempt to launch your installation by clicking the Play button from within the Installations tab, and click Cancel in the popup that is presented
   Notice how this installation has moved to the top of the list, even though you never actually played using the installation
