Launcher Cannot Go Online

Launcher refuses to allow me to login, website works fine so it's not me having the wrong info. I'm regularly met with the message of "Sorry! Make sure you are online and try again". I've reinstalled minecraft, used the setup tool to remove my files, hand-removed the files, checked my firewall and eventually completely turned it off. I even bought a new minecraft account in an attempt to work around this but this doesn't help either. My brother was able to login to my accounts on a separate pc so it's not a ban either.
