Error shows in logs: SSL certificate problem: Invalid certificate chain

Note before we start: I put this in a throwaway because I don't want to put my personal info in here, but I'll be checking every now and then.

Hello. I'll try to keep this short and simple, but at least put some info in here.

A couple of months ago an error started happening on my MacBook. Minecraft would keep going offline and say that I wasn't online.

After that, it kept happening. So I soon checked the logs and this error came up:

[Info: 2020-10-28 20:00:43.892282: MojangAccounts.cpp(370)] CONNECTION_OFFLINE

It shows that the SSL certificate has an invalid certificate chain. I've looked everywhere but I can't find anything. Please help.
