I can not control my inventory properly.

I just wanted to download Minecraft Java so I went to Minecraft./net and clicked download everything look fine till I opened my inventory to find out that I couldn't  shift click nor could I ctrl click at first I thought something was wrong with my keyboard so I used my spare wireless keyboard and it didn't work, then like and sensible boy I looked it u on you then I realised that hi was doing everything right so this had to be some kind on bug  that only my version that I have has a problem with. And currently I am not sure if downloading it again with money would help because I download the launcher for free thinking it was going to fix it Mojang PLEASEEE help meee!!!!!
