Unable to access my skins, or to change skins

On 1.16.3 (latest version) I tried to change my skin on minecraft.net as I was unable to access my skins on the launcher (it just loads for a while and says "sorry we are unable to access your skins" (pic attached). Now my skin is Steve and I cannot change it
