Game Won't Update

My minecraft will not update. My friend has verson 1.16.3 but I am stuck on version 1.16.1

I tried redownloading the minecraft installer but it didn't do anything. There's no arrow on the launcher next to the version to indicate that an update is available. I tried going to the microsoft store to check for an update and it does nothing. I just want to play minecraft with my friend, man.
