Minecraft Launcher will not keep me signed in despite password change.

Every time Minecraft closes, the launcher will not keep me signed in regardless of unchecking & rechecking the "Keep Me Signed In" box, changing my password linked to the account, restarting my pc, and uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher. I can not install older versions of the game because every time it signs me out the versions I installed are gone.
