Game Crashes When forge is opened

When I open the launcher and select the forge tab and hit the play button, the green progress bar fills up but it doesn't load forge, it opens up the launcher and says"ERROR Game Crashed An unexpected error has occurred and the game crashed, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
