If you are getting this exact error and are on windows (make sure the exit code is: -1073740777) the likely cause for your problem is D3Dgear. If you have ever installed this (or happen to have this software on your computer) please uninstall it and try again.

If you don't have D3Dgear installed, then reinstallings Java should fix your problem.

whenever i attempt to play any of the new snapshots with the minecraftdev launcher and with bat file they do not launch and give me this error

Development console gives me only this "Game ended with bad state (exit code -1073740777)" as an error.

tried launching using both 32 and 64 bit Java 6 and 7 versions along with countless other methods to correct the problem all failed.
