MC Launcher skins not saving/duplicating

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the skin file to upload and save to the skin tab thing as usual.

What actually happened was...:
The launcher gives me an error message saying the skin cannot be saved or duplicated. I tried reinstalling minecraft as a whole and it didn't change anything.
