Minecraft Java Launcher problem

Can't get pass Mojang red logo, can't play the game, followed all troubleshooting tips on Minecraft Help page, no use. Uninstall/reinstall also doesn't help. 

Sends monitor to power safe mode even though monitor is brand new and so is the PC.

I can't believe such issue persists to be, especially with reputable game
