Name not updated

i changed my name yesterday, and then started up minecraft jumped on hypixel and i could'nt join it said "invalid session, please restart your game" and i looked in the launcher it had my name i had before not my new name? i looked at "my.mojang.com" and it had my new name how do i fix this?
