lost data

I don't know who else to ask for help. I know you guys are great guys and wouldn't ever do it on purpose but I lost all my files. I got the uninstall bug and it wiped out everything on my external storage. I have a bunch of photos on there from family trips and my daughter as a baby that are only on there. I have papers and assignments due this Saturday as well as my final papers that I've been working on this entire term. Everything is gone. I have tried using a file recovery software but they all want me to pay to recover my files or my antivirus picks them up. I had all the files in a folder called backup so I could share the folder with other people and when I uninstalled the launcher to try and reinstall it to fix the game ownership bug it ate the folder. Everyone I've asked for help online from says it's my fault for not having any backups and I guess that's true, but they say I'll have to pay a lot of money for a good file undeleter and I really need the files back but we're not doing so hot because of the coronavirus so I can't afford to pay $80 or $100 to get the files back. Is there a file undeleter you guys know of that would get my files back for free?
