when i try to launch the game it just crashes

when i try to launch the game it just crashes

What I expected to happen was...:
to play minecraft 

What actually happened was...:
when i press play in the launcher it immeadiatly says "game crashed"

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the launcher
2.  press play
3. Game crashes
