minecraft wont launch game

I recently downloaded the minecraft launcher on my laptop. It downloaded without a hassle but now when i try to load the game to play it says this

Unable to locate the Java runtime.
Error details: The operation completed successfully.

Filename on disk: javaw.exe
Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft Launcher\runtime\jre-x64\bin\javaw.exe
Exists: Nonexistent

If someone knows whats going on, please help
