Launcher Says I am Offline

All of the sudden yesterday I was unable to play on servers. It said "play offline" in the launcher so I logged out. Now it wont let even log in giving me the message "Sorry, make sure you are online and try again" this is very frustrating to me since I run a server and now I am unable to use it. I do not know the version of the launcher but it is the latest one automatically installed.
