1.12-1.12.2 Crashes Launcher on LInux

When creating a new installation with a variant of 1.12 the Linux launcher crashes when running a Debian/Ubuntu version of the launcher. Error message reads "ERROR Game crashed An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience."
