Unable to update the the minecraft runtime environment (none of the previous fixes work)
Minecraft or the launcher is currently not installed on my computer.
Everytime i run the minecraft launcher to install it, it reaches about 80 percent, and the i get the error "unable to update the minecraft runtime environment.
I have already tried all of the fixes i could find online, from what i can remember:
deleting te minecraft and .minecraft folders and reinstalling
run as administrator
compatibility modes
reinstalling windows
deleting profiles.json (i think its called that)
nothing seems to work.
the errors found in the launcher log state the following:
