Cannot play Minecraft

I opened up the new Minecraft launcher to play Minecraft, then I logged into my account and got to the bit where you can select a profile and click play to begin. But I encountered an issue, it wouldn't let me click play, I restarted my computer, logged out and in multiple times, checked to see if I made any errors in .minecraft but still nothing helped.
