Progress Lost

After I inserted a map on my .minecraft folder, my MCL had RESTARTED no versions, no maps, only the latest verions of minecraft 1.15.2 I Checked my .minecraft folder and everything was normal, all my maps, mods, skins, and resource packs were there. After all this happened, I concluded that the MCL "crashed" or restarted like a recent created account.
