Unable to fetch skins with internet access

Yesterday i was changing my skin and did that 3 or 4 times. On the last attempt, I logged in an realized I somehow had the classic Steve skin loaded, not the one I uploaded. On multiplayer with two friends, they also said I had the slim Alex skin on, not the classic Steve. Went back and uploaded it again and thought it was fine until i realized on the launcher it said "Unable to fetch skins" in an orange box. Im not sure why this is happening, as i was playing fine and nothing was wrong with my game. I ignored the problem thinking it was because i tried to upload a skin too many times, but the problem is happening now too. I logged into minecraft.net, I deleted the accounts from the launcher and re-added them, and i am not sure as to what to do next
