I cannot boot minecraft up look at description for details I am on java edition

I got Minecraft java edition for Christmas and wanted to boot it up with launcher so I clicked play it was loading and right before it was done loading it crashed I have tried 8 times it has done that exact thing 8 times I have deleted my jinput  file I do not know what to do please help.
