Stuck in preparing

so I want to play minecraft using forge, so I play minecraft forge version 1.8.9, I press the skins column in my minecraft launcher but it says 'couldn't load your skins' and it says 'unable to fetch skins' and I tried to play minecraft forge in my launcher after a while is stuck in 'preparing' and it says 'unable to fetch skins'
