[OSX] "Failed to load URL mojang://launcher/index.html with error (-2)."

Hello, I've had my Minecraft account since 2013 and would play all the time. Now I want to download Minecraft again and start playing on a new computer, but I'm incapable of playing due to the fact I try to launch the app a blank white page appears that states "[OSX] Failed to load URL mojang://launcher/index.html with error (-2)."

I have no clue what to put for affects Version due to the fact it is from a very long time ago so no clue..

Please help me !!
