All my chests were invisible when i loved back inn on my survival world

all the chests were invisible and when i broke them the chest item dropped but were stil invisible.  I placed the chests back down and they were stil invisible. The outline showed when i pointed my crosshair on the invisible chests, but it only showed the outline of one chest when it really was a double chest.
