Launcher keeps crashing when i click play

Whenever i open the launcher and click play the game screen comes up saying mojang before crashing and returning me to the launcher. A message then pops up stating the game has crashed. This has been happening since Saturday midday. I have tried playing different versions of the game e.g. 1.12, 1.14 but all crash. When I click view crash report nothing opens.
