[SOLVED] Latest version doesn't work on GalliumOS 3.0 (Ubuntu 18.04)
The last version of the launcher (before the redesign) ran flawlessly, and now the launcher will not start. When I run minecraft-launcher from Terminal, it does nothing. I have tried reinstalling the launcher from two different downloads of the file.
Conversely, on my other laptop (also running Ubuntu 18.04), the launcher runs flawlessly.
I am using what seems to be the latest available version for Ubuntu on both - version 2.1.5410.
It should be self-explanatory why this is a bug.
It does not seem to produce any log files (if anyone knows where I can find them that would be great), but it doesn't do anything else either.
- How to reproduce
- acquire one Lenovo n21 Chromebook.
- install MrChromebox's UEFI ROM and then GalliumOS Baytrail 3.0beta1.
- install Minecraft.
- now try to launch it.
Please fix this soon (or roll out a newer version that does work for Ubuntu)!
