New Java Minecraft Launcher blank after login (Linux)

Note that I have no clue what the launcher version is specifically, but it must be the newest. Loaded into the launcher and it said a new version was available so I downloaded the .deb package and installed it. The login screen appeared and I could successfully login, but it led to a blank screen even when I close and start the launcher again. Screenshot is attached.
