my apple laptop is not compatible with new minecraft launcher and keeps crashing when it is so close to being updated and played

Not Compatible with my OSX laptop

*What I expected to happen was for my new update to happen when I download my new launcher but then it crashed when i tried to use it!
To update my game when new launcher downloaded

*What actually happened was
It crashed repeatedly I tried 20 times then I knew it was a problem

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download new launcher on OSX on laptop
2. Log in
3. Press play
4. Crash repeatedly
