My minecraft launcher does not work

No matter how many times I try to open Minecraft from the launcher, it will show as "CRASH sorry blah blabla " I tried giving it time (overnight around 6hrs). I also tried loading the older versions but it did not work but had the Crash sorry thing again. BTW the version I want to use is what it says the newest version with is 1.13.2.
