(i don't exactly know if this is a bug) Minecraft isn't showing up when i click play in the launcher!

when i click play to start up my minecraft, it warns me about how its still running when its not and then it loads a little but then never shows up also it sometimes shows up, but then quickly goes away and gives me a crash.
