Unable to fetch server status/Could not connect to server.

I have not been able to log into the launcher or even load my game to play in about 3 or 4 days. I have checked my internet, firewall, as well as the website to see if anything was down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft 4 times in hopes that it would be fixed, as well as reset my computer. I am still unable to play multiplayer or even single player, or get past the launcher.
