Minecraft launcher doesn't launch the game!

when I try to play the game on my new pc, the launcher sends a message saying

An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

The launcher seems to work just fine so it is very weird that it works this way.

I have not downloaded Java.

Please help me
