Takes 30 seconds for game to load some chunks

I was playing with 1.9, and there was some parts where the map chunks loaded EXTREMELY slooooooowly. Once, I was looking at an unloaded chunk right NEXT to me, and it took about 30 seconds before the game actually decided to loaded the chunk.
