Texture Packs Don't Work Correctly

I am trying to make a custom texture pack, and for some reason, the texture pack is marked as incompatible.

Also, I tried providing a new en_US.lang file for the game to use, because I wanted to rename some things and features. This has worked in the past as far as I know.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=fygdSKDiOv0#t=219s)
