pigs have no legs, and long ranged vision glitches

When I start a world in 1.9 the pigs had no legs. I tried to fix this by exiting then going back in, but it was still happening. I also tried to see farther to see more mobs, but the world started to flash and I don't know how to describe it. it was really glitchy glitch
