Spamming jump while falling with Elytra on server makes Elytra unable to open

Spamming space while falling with an elytra on a server causes the elytra to glitch, which makes your player character open its wings and angle down for a second then snap upright again repeatedly. All the while, the player never completely enters flight mode and just falls to their death. Spamming from 3 or more times per second seems to be causing it. The player may have to not be the server host.
