Realms nether reset and never spawned exit portal

I was playing on my friends realms server and was going in and out of the nether without issue. The final time i went into the nether portal the game crashed and when i loaded the game up and rejoined the realm the nether had been reset and i had spawned in an unknown location without an exit portal. I do apologize i do not have the crash report for when this occurred.
