Trapdoor Sound Bug

I run a bukkit survival server, and the sounds for trapdoors and doors seems to be messed up.

When I shift+right click a door or wooden trapdoor, normally it will open. If I am holding a tool/weapon, normally it does not.
When I right click a door/trapdoor while shifting though, there is no sound. It opens silently, and closes silently when I again right click.
I do not know if this happens with a standard minecraft server.

This is not a problem in single-player.
