Health Regeneration fake damages you

I took an item that gives me a lot of max health, then I apply regeneration on me and I receive damage or at least it seems so, my health didn't get down as I have regeneration on. I receive the damage as long as my life isn't max out and keep the item in my hand.
The hurt animation stays even when it finished hurting me.
