Can't load 1.9

Well I was casually doing my minecraft thing then my game crashed so I thought Ok whats going on? Then I see its a new update so I get all exited and click play. It took about 25 minutes for it to download and launch and then DEAD! It crashes I try It again It takes 15 minutes this time and It makes the loading screen But I can see its running horribly so I try a game to see what happens and CRASH again and again and again Please help Is it because I am using a laptop if so I cant afford a new one Could you please Help? Thanks
