Bow in offhand 1.9 pre 4

So i wan on singleplayer, and i was messing with command blocks and elyrtas and all the new features, and i put an enchanted bow with infinity on it in my offhand and tried to fire it. It fires the direction i was pointing, but when i pressed f5 to see how it looked, i wasn't even holding it up! i just had it in my hand and it drew back, facing the ground, and it looked really weird.

I attached a screenshot if it to this issue.\Also, left and and right hand doesnt matter, i checked. (I use left hand for everything.)
