Minecraft Launcher update crashing when logging in.

Every time I press 'Play', it crashes and tells me "Lack of updated graphics drive." This started happening when I updated the launcher to not use java. I am using 1.8.9 but I've tried others like 1.7 and it still does not work But when I go to DxDiag. It says "no problems found." under Display. Help? (P.S i'm using minecraft launcher 1.6.51)
